Join the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated’s Alpha Alpha Lambda Omega Chapter for their inaugural Tutus and Ties 5K and Fun Run, represented by Cheverly Resident Dr. Kristi Scott. Grab a friend and join this fun event to celebrate community, unity, and running for a purpose. Proceeds will go towards local service projects for those in need as well as scholarships for local PG County residents.
All paces and ages (under 18 with guardian) are welcome - run or walk! The Fun Run is an untimed, 1 mile. Runner’s times for the 5k will be available following completion of the race on Run SignUp. Timing services provided by Maryland Timing. Participants are encouraged to wear their favorite tutu and/or tie (bowties count), through a serene run through the scenic town of Cheverly, MD. All participants receive a participant swag bag, and water/snacks. 5K participants will receive a finisher medal and their chipped bib for their time.
