WSSC Scheduled Water Shutdown
Please be advised that the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) will conduct a scheduled water shutdown in the 6400 block of Forest Road on Thursday, September 4, 2025, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
This shutdown is necessary to perform maintenance work on the water main.
During this period, residents may experience low water pressure or a complete loss of water service for approximately one to three hours. We recommend planning ahead and storing water in advance, if needed.
Please observe all posted signage in the area. WSSC will have traffic control signs and flaggers on site to help guide traffic safely around the work zone. Currently, no road closures are expected.
Although the work is expected to be completed within the scheduled timeframe, unforeseen circumstances may cause delays. We appreciate your patience and understanding as this important infrastructure work is carried out.
