Message from the Town Administrator Regarding Temporary Closure of Town Hall and Gym
Greetings Cheverly,
During the planned replacement of the gym floor on Friday (November 21, 2025), workers discovered a substance they felt may pose a potential health risk. Out of an abundance of caution, I'm bringing in an environmental engineering company to evaluate the situation. While we await their work, Town Hall, the gym, and our meeting spaces will be temporarily closed.
I understand it may be inconvenient, but I take my responsibility to protect the health and safety of our staff and community very seriously. When I have facts, I'll share those with you, rather than speculate as to what the substance may be. I'll update you again as I get more confirmed information.
