Back Door Trash Collection Postponed to Tuesday, December 16, 2025

Due to inclement weather on Sunday morning and continued low temperatures preventing snow and ice from melting, the Department of Public Works will postpone Monday's back door trash collection until the next day, Tuesday, December 16, 2025. This is out of an abundance of caution for employee safety. 

Regular curbside trash collection on the East Side is expected to resume as usual.

Every effort will be made to collect all back door trash pickups (both East and West Sides) on Tuesday, if employees have a clear and safe pathway free of snow and ice. If possible, back door trash households that can have a neighbor or friend take the trash to the curb will help alleviate the need for a Town employee having to cross snow/ice covered private property. Back door trash households will need to clear a path to the back door trash that allows an employee to safely cross the property to pick up the trash.
