Calling All Cheverly Residents

The Town of Cheverly invites you to stand with us at Bladensburg's upcoming public hearing regarding Bladensburg's attempt to annex Hospital Hill. This directly impacts our community, and your presence can make a difference.

Public Hearing Details:

Date: Thursday, December 19, 2024

Time: 5:30 pm

Location: Bladensburg Town Hall, 4229 Edmonston Rd, Bladensburg, MD 20710

Since the Hospital Hill property became available, the Town of Cheverly has worked diligently with Prince George's County and the developer, Home Team 5. Cheverly has taken the necessary steps and preliminary measures to annex the property after development is complete. However, Bladensburg has recently and unexpectedly moved to annex the land, undermining our community's efforts and plans.

This unjustified action threatens to impact Cheverly residents and our collective vision for Hospital Hill. We must come together to ensure our voices are heard and that Cheverly's interests are protected.

Shuttle from Town Hall:

Due to limited parking at Bladensburg Town Hall, the Town of Cheverly will provide a shuttle service for residents who would like to attend the public hearing on December 19, 2024. Call the Town Hall at 301-773-8360 to RSVP to ride the shuttle to ensure available space.

Shuttle Times:

Departing: From Cheverly Town Hall at 4:30 pm and 5:00 pm

Returning: From Bladensburg Town Hall every half hour until 9:30 pm

Bladensburg has limited public comments to their residents and officials only, but your participation is vital to demonstrating the unity and strength of our community. Written comments are accepted from both residents and non-residents and will be included in the public record. These can be submitted to the Town Clerk before or during the hearing or by emailing Clerk@Bladensburgmd.gov.
