Mail-In Voting

Overview

Any registered Cheverly voter may request a mail-in ballot in lieu of voting in-person on Election Day.

How to Vote by Mail

Step 1

Fill out a Mail-In Ballot Request form. You can obtain the form by one of the following:

  • Filling out the form online in English / en español
  • Downloading the form here in English / en español
  • Picking one up at Town Hall during business hours
  • Finding it in the Town Newsletters for March / Marzo.

Step 2 

Return the signed Mail-In Ballot Request form to Town Hall in one of the following ways:

  • Mail the form to The Town of Cheverly, 6401 Forest Road, Cheverly, MD 20785
  • Drop the form off at Town Hall in a receptacle mounted on the wall outside the front doors
  • Scan the form and email it

Applications must be received by Town Hall no later than April 28, 2025. It is highly recommended that any application submitted after April 25, 2025, should opt for in-person pick-up.

Step 3

You should receive your ballot in the manner that you requested on the form:

  • By mail to the address indicated
  • By picking it up in person at Town Hall. You will be notified when your ballot is ready for pick-up based on the preferred contact methods indicated on the form.

Mail-in ballots will be available for receipt no earlier than March 27, 2025.

Step 4

Vote by returning your filled-out ballot in the provided envelope in any of the following ways:

  • By mail to The Town of Cheverly, 6401 Forest Road, Cheverly, MD 20785
  • By dropping the envelope into the Town of Cheverly ballot box which will be posted in front of Town Hall from April 5, 2025 to May 5, 2025.
