The Town of Cheverly annexed the property that became Kilmer Street Park in 2015. The site still features the original home’s detached garage and a pool that has been repurposed as a habitat for goldfish and aquatic plants. The Town maintains the 1.33-acre park, recognized as a Level 1 accredited arboretum and one of only 27 in Maryland. The Friends of Kilmer Street Park, a community organization, supports the park through annual tree censuses, clean-ups, and other volunteer activities that preserve and enhance this neighborhood green space.
